The two Adams

The first Adam
The last Adam
Created by God -  The Creator himself became man -
1Co 15:45 And so it is written,
The first man Adam was made a living soul;
the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth,earthy:
 the second man is the Lord from heaven.
by him came death
by him came also the resurrection of the dead
Representative head of the old human race -- FALLEN HUMANITY.
Representative head of the new humanity -- RESTORED HUMANITY.
Ruined by: Disobedience Redeemed by: Obedience unto death, even the death of the cross.
From sinless to sinful;
failed through temptation.
From sinless to sinless through temptations;
hence qualified to redeem the fallen human race.

Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Ro 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
 Ro 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation,
  but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
  Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation;
 even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
 Ro 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,
so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Dear Reader, you are either in the first Adam or the last Adam. You are either part of the fallen race that you were born into (PHYSICAL BIRTH) , or you are part of the saved race that you are born again into (SPIRITUAL BIRTH).

When Adam sinned he died to God, as we are by nature the children of Adam, we died "in Adam" to God. But the very moment  we accept Christ as our personal Saviour we are born in the family of the last Adam (Christ), thus become a partaker of the Christ life.

How can we get out of Adam ?
We came in by birth, therefore we can only get out by death;
 Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

The cross is the power of God which translate us from our heritage
in Adam to our inheritance in Christ.

In Adam
In Christ
Inherited sinful nature from Adam by born OF the flesh . We receive everything that is of Adam. Partakers of  the divine nature identified with Him in His death & resurrection. We receive everything that is of Christ.
We experience the bondage of sin and death. We experience deliverance from the bondage os sin and death. We experience new life.
Ps 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. - INVOLUNTARY
 1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;  and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die,  even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Old creation - Self is our life
New Creation - Christ is our life
  'In Christ' Justified - Ro 3.24
'In Christ' Sanctified - 1Cor 1.2
'In Christ' Crucified - Gal 2.20
'In Christ' Ascended - Eph 1.3
'In Christ' Complete - Col 2.10
'In Christ' Glorified - 2 Thess 1.10
Ro 6.6 - Crucified together 'with Him'
Col 2.12 - Buried together 'with Him'
Eph 2.5 - Quickened together 'with Him'
Col 3.1-3 - Risen together 'with Him'
Ro 8.17 - Heirs together 'with Him'
Ro 8.17 - Sufferers together 'with Him'
Ro 8.17 - Glorified together 'with Him'

Jesus was nailed to the cross for your sins and for mine. We have to realize that like Adam, we are separated from God because of our sin.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We have rebelled against Him. We have rejected His love.
So what do we have to do ?

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him [VOLUNTARY] , to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Once you do that, God will begin to change you and make you into a brand new person. May it be that your choice will be unto a living hope.
