In general, judgment refers to the process of issuing rewards
or punishment based upon the deeds that we have done. There is not
a continuous period of judgemnt, but it is confined to two specific points
in time in which all people that have lived on the earth will be judged
by the works that they did while living on earth. We are not immediately
judged after death, otherwise, there would have been billions of individual
judgement periods. We know this because many referneces are made
to a specific future point in time when even those who died before Christ
will be judged.
Judgement occurs on earth, not in heaven.
What Gets Judged : Rewards and
Punishment
Every person will be rewarded for their works (actions). Your good
works will be rewarded, and your unforgiven bad/evil works (sins)
receive punishment (or negation of rewards). Hebrews
10:16 states that God will put his laws into our hearts. This
means that we intuitively know what is good and what is bad without having
to be told.
In the Old Testament, sacrifices were offered as payment for bad works
(sins). Jesus' death was given as a sacrifice for the sins of those
who believe (see Salvation).
Even those who get to heaven will still receive rewards and punishment
as a result of judgment. This implies that everyone will not live
equally in Heaven.
Salvation determines whether or not you get into Heaven. Judgment
determines how you live in Heaven.
Unlike salvation, rewards are given to those who have performed some
action to earn it.
Having faith in God is rewarded (even without works). Diligently
seeking God is also mentioned as an action that is rewarded. Heb
11:6
I would describe judgment as the time when you get rewarded for pleasing
God or punished for displeasing God.
In James 2:18, Paul states: show me thy
faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Paul
implies that if you truly believe that Jesus died for our sins then you
will want to serve God and do right. If you do not it may be a reflection
of the depth of your faith.
One who works for reward alone is not deservant of a reward.
The only way to influence the condition of your life for the rest of
eternity (assuming you attain eternal life) is by the works that you do
in this life.

: Rewards and Punishment (scriptures)
Prov 11:30-31
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth
souls is wise.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more
the wicked and the sinner.
(KJV)
Prov 24:11-12
11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those
that are ready to be slain;
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth
the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it?
and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
(KJV)
Ps 62:11-12
11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth
unto God.
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every
man according to his work.
(KJV)
Eccl 11:8-10
8 But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him
remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh
is vanity.
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee
in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the
sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will
bring thee into judgment.
10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy
flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
KJV
Eccl 12:13-14
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep
his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret
thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
KJV
Isa 3:10-11
10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they
shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of
his hands shall be given him.
(KJV)
Isa 13:9-19
9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce
anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof
out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not
give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the
moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their
iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will
lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than
the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out
of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his
fierce anger.
14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh
up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into
his own land.
15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that
is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard
silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall
have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees'
excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
(KJV)
Isa 59:1-60:1
59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and
your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity;
your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust
in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that
eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into
a viper.
6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves
with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence
is in their hands.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood:
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in
their paths.
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their
goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall
not know peace.
9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake
us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk
in darkness.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had
no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places
as dead men.
11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment,
but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins
testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our
iniquities, we know them;
13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away
from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from
the heart words of falsehood.
14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar
off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself
a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no
intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness,
it sustained him.
17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation
upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and
was clad with zeal as a cloke.
18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his
adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory
from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from
transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit
that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not
depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the
mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
KJV
Jer 17:10
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every
man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
(KJV)
Jer 32:19
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon
all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings:
(KJV)
Ezek 18:19-30
19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father?
When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all
my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the
iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the
son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness
of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed,
and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall
surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be
mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the
Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and
committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the
wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done
shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in
his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house
of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth
iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he
die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that
he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save
his soul alive.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions
that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal.
O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according
to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your
transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
(KJV)
Ezek 33:18-20
18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth
iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is
lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel,
I will judge you every one after his ways.
(KJV)
Dan 12:1-3
12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and
at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found
written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Matt 5:11-12
11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all
kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly
glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets
who were before you.
NKJV
Matt 6:1-21
6:1 "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men,
to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before
you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they
may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what
your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret;
and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
5 "And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they
love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets,
that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their
reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have
shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your
Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 And when you pray,
do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they
will be heard for their many words. 8 Therefore do not be like them. For
your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In
this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come.Your
will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily
bread. 12 And forgive us our debts,As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do
not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.For Yours
is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will
also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither
will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 "Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a
sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to
men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17
But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that
you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the
secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and
rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves
do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart
will be also.
NKJV
Matt 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from
me, ye that work iniquity.

Matt 10:40-42
40 "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives

shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in
the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. 42
And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in

Matt 12:35-37
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth
good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil
things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they
shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou
shalt be condemned.

Matt 16:24-27
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will
lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his
angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matt 20:1-16
20:1 "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early
in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 Now when he had agreed
with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in
the marketplace, 4 and said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and
whatever is right I will give you.' So they went. 5 Again he went out about
the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh
hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, 'Why
have you been standing here idle all day?' 7 They said to him, 'Because
no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and
whatever is right you will receive.' 8 So when evening had come, the owner
of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the laborers and give them their
wages, beginning with the last to the first.' 9 And when those came who
were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius. 10 But
when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they
likewise received each a denarius. 11 And when they had received it, they
complained against the landowner, 12 saying, 'These last men have worked
only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden
and the heat of the day.' 13 But he answered one of them and said, 'Friend,
I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take
what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same
as to you. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things?
Or is your eye evil because I am good?' 16 So the last will be first, and
the first last. For many are called, but few chosen."

Matt 25:14-26
14 "For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country,
who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to
one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according
to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who
had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another
five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.
18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his
lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and
settled accounts with them. 20 So he who had received five talents came
and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five
talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.' 21 His lord
said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over
a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy
of your lord.' 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, 'Lord,
you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides
them.' 23 His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant;
you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many
things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' 24 Then he who had received the
one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where
you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25
And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there
you have what is yours.' 26 But his lord answered and said to him, 'You
wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and
gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited
my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back
my own with interest. 28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give it
to him who has ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has, more will be given,
and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he
has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer
darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels
with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations
will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the
sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will
say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I
was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I
was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I
was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37 Then
the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry
and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger
and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick,
or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to
them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least
of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' 41 Then He will also say to those
on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire
prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave
Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger
and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in
prison and you did not visit Me.' 44 Then they also will answer Him, saying,
'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or
sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' 45 Then He will answer
them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to
one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' 46 And these will
go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Mark 9:38-41
38 Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does

who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40

27 "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those

use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also.
And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.
30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods
do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also
do to them likewise. 32 But if you love those who love you, what credit
is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you
do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even
sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to
receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners
to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping
for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons
of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner

be made thee.

John 15:1-9
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every
branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more
fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I
in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye
will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall
ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in
my love.

22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin,
but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My

did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both
Me and My Father.

Rom 2:1-16
2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge,
for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge
practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according
to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this,
O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same,
that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches
of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness
of God leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness
and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the
day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who "will
render to each one according to his deeds": 7 eternal life to those who
by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every
soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but
glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew
first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God. 12
For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and
as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law 13(for not
the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the
law will be justified; 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by
nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are
a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts,
their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts
accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets
of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

Rom 4:3-13
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted
unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but
of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth
the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom
God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose
sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon
the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham
for righteousness.
10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision?
Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness
of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the
father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness
might be imputed unto them also:
12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision
only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham,
which he had being yet uncircumcised.
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not
to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness
of faith.
(KJV)
Rom 14:10-14
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought
thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow
to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this
rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his
brother's way.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing
unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to
him it is unclean.
(KJV)
1 Cor 3:6-14
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;
but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man
shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye
are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise
masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare
it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every
man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall
receive a reward.
(KJV)
1 Cor 9:16-18
16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity
is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17 For if
I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been
entrusted with a stewardship. 18 What is my reward then? That when I preach
the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may
not abuse my authority in the gospel.
NKJV
1 Cor 11:30-34
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should
not be condemned with the world.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one
for another.
34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together
unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
(KJV)
2 Cor 5:10
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that
every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he
hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Eph 6:5-8
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to
the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto
Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ,
doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall
he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
(KJV)
Col 3:23-25
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto
men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:
for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath
done: and there is no respect of persons.
(KJV)
Heb 2:2-3
2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression
and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them
that heard him;
(KJV)
Heb 10:16-18
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds
will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
(KJV)
Heb 10:26-27
26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge
of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.
(KJV)
Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh
to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
(KJV)
Heb 12:3-13
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against
himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as
unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor
faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom
he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what
son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then
are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us,
and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto
the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure;
but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
(KJV)
James 2:14-18
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and
filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful
to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and
I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee
my faith by my works.
(KJV)
2 Peter 2:20-22
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through
the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled
in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of
righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment
delivered to them.
NKJV
Rev 11:18-19
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time
of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward
unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy
name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
(KJV)
Rev 14:12-13
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are
the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit,
that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
(KJV)
Rev 20:11-13
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for
them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works.
(KJV)
Rev 22:10-15
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this
book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous
still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every
man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the
last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right
to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers,
and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Summary of Fairness and Equality
You are judged by how much work you knowingly did or did not do to please
God. The more good works you do the more rewards you will receive.
If you contribute no good works you will lose rewards.
If you knowingy sin, or displease God, you will be punished more severely
than if you did it in ignorance. But we intuitively know when we
are doing right or wrong - Heb 10:16
You are rewarded based on the size of your sacrifice. Just as
a tithe of $10 means more from one that has $20 than a tithe of $100 from
one that has $100,000,000.
You are also judged by your final goal. If a sinner discontinues
their sinful ways and now desires to do only good, his previous sins will
not be judged. If a righteous person discontinues doing good
and becomes a sinner his previous righteousness will not be rewarded.
Fairness/Equality of Judgment
Ps 75:6-8
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor
from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red;
it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof,
all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
(KJV)
Jer 17:11
11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that
getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his
days, and at his end shall be a fool.
(KJV)
Jer 18:6-10
6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the
LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand,
O house of Israel.
7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning
a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil,
I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning
a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will
repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.
(KJV)
Ezek 18:1-32
1 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel,
saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are
set on edge?
3 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more
to use this proverb in Israel.
4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the
soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his
eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's
wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
7 And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge,
hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and
hath covered the naked with a garment;
8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase,
that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment
between man and man,
9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly;
he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
10 If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that
doeth the like to any one of these things,
11 And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon
the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
12 Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath
not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath
committed abomination,
13 Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then
live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall
surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which
he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,
15 That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his
eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour's
wife,
16 Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither
hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath
covered the naked with a garment,
17 That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received
usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes;
he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother
by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even
he shall die in his iniquity.
31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed;
and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house
of Israel?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the
Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
(KJV)
Matt 11:20-24
20 Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works
had been done, because they did not repent: 21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe
to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been
done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth
and ashes. 22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and
Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, who are
exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works
which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until
this day. 24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land
of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you."
NKJV
Matt 20:1-16
1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder,
which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent
them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle
in the marketplace,
4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever
is right I will give you. And they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing
idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them,
Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward,
Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto
the first.
9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they
received every man a penny.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received
more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman
of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made
them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong:
didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last,
even as unto thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine
eye evil, because I am good?
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen.
(KJV)
Matt 25:31-46
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels
with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the
left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed
of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye
gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee
an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed
thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me,
ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and
ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me
not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee
an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous
into life eternal.
(KJV)
Luke 7:40-47
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say
unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed
five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both.
Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this
woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet:
but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of
her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in
hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed
my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven;
for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
(KJV)
Luke 12:47-48
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself,
neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall
be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall
be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will
ask the more.
(KJV)
Luke 19:12-27
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to
receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and
said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying,
We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received
the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to
whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had
gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast
been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which
I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest
up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee,
thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up
that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my
coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and
give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given;
and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from
him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over
them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Luke 20:46-47
46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love
greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and
the chief rooms at feasts;
47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a show make long prayers: the
same shall receive greater damnation.
(KJV) -- those with higher positions are punished greater
Luke 21:1-4
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the
treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath
cast in more than they all:
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings
of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
(KJV)
John 9:39-41
39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they
which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words,
and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but
now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
(KJV)
John 15:22-24
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but
now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did,
they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and
my Father.

Acts 17:30-31
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth
all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the
world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath
given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Rom 2:12

Rom 4:1-15
1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to
the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory;
but not before God.
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not
to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness
of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and
the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no
transgression.
(KJV)
1 Tim 1:12-14
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that
he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but
I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and
love which is in Christ Jesus.
(KJV)
2 Tim 4:1-8
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who
shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having
itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of
an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is
at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept
the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which
the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me
only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
(KJV)
Heb 10:16-18
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds
will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
(KJV)
James 4:14-17
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your
life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth
away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do
this, or that.
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him
it is sin.

Summary of 2 Judgments
There will be two periods of judgment. Christ will judge those Christians
who through belief in Him have gained eternal life. All others will
be judged by God at a later period.
John 5:22 says that God will judge no man,
and John 12:47 states that Jesus will not judge
those who did not believe in Him. This makes it clear that if either
God or Christ were to be the only judge some souls would never be judged.
God will judge no man. A man is a human soul in a flesh body.
Although God cannot judge man, Christ can. Christ can fairly cast
judgment on mankind since He lived life in the flesh Himself, and knows
the frailties and weaknesses of the flesh.
1 Cor 15:51 states that after Christ returns
both the living and the dead will be changed into spiritual bodies. Rev
19 and 20 states that there will be a thousand year period after Christ's
judgment in which those who weren't judged by Christ's can attain salvation.
After that period, God will judge those individuals. Those who are
judged by God will either go to Heaven or into the "lake of fire".

Ps 1:5
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners
in the congregation of the righteous.
KJV
Rom 14:10-12
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought
thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow
to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
KJV
1 Cor 15:22-28
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward
they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom
to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority
and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all
things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did
put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son
also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God
may be all in all.
KJV
John 5:19-30
Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you,
the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for
whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves
the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show
Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father
raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom
He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment
to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father.
He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes
in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment,
but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the
hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son
of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in
Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has
given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of
Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who
are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth--those who have
done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to
the resurrection of condemnation. 30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear,
I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will
but the will of the Father who sent Me.

This states that God doesn't judge man
John 8:14-19
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself,
yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but
ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but
I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is
true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me
beareth witness of me.
19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye
neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known
my Father also.

Judgement of Christ
Matt 3:10-13
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore
every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into
the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh
after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall
baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor,
and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with
unquenchable fire.
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized
of him.
KJV
Matt 13:41-42
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather
out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
Matt 16:27
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his
angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
KJV
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous
into life eternal.

which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
KJV
John 12:46-50
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me
should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not:
for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that
judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the
last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he
gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever
I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call
heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which

them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things,
and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and
longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth,

1 Cor 15:51-55
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for
the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and
we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the
saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Rev 19:11- 20:15
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge
and make war.
this is Christ
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name
is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should
smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth
the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING
OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud
voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and
gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and
the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit
on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies,
gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against
his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought
miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the
mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were
cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the
horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled
with their flesh.

CHAPTER 20
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless
pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil,
and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a
seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand
years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given
unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness
of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast,
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years
were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:
on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God
and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
This states that some people will take part in
the first resurrection and some won't. Those who take part in the
first resurrection will be priests of God and of Christ and reign with
Jesus. The fact that the second death has no power on them means
that they will have eternal life meaning that they have already been judged.
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out
of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters
of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number
of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp
of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God
out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire
and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Those who weren't involved in the first resurrection
will be judged by God.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire.

preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the
ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned
them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should
live ungodly;

wicked:

vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Spoken to the 12 disciples
Rom 2:5-29
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself
wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and
honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but
obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to
the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without
law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers
of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the
things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto
themselves:
15 Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience
also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else
excusing one another;)
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ
according to my gospel.
17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest
thy boast of God,
18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent,
being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a
light of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the
form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself?
thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit
adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law
dishonourest thou God?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you,
as it is written.
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if
thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law,
shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the
law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the
law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision,
which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that
of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not
of men, but of God.

to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom
he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also
glorified.

even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Heavenly Clothes
2 Cor 5:1-11
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved,
we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with
our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not
for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might
be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also
hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at
home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the
body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted
of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that
every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he
hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we
are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your
consciences.
(KJV)
Rev 3:1-5
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith
he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy
works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready
to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast,
and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a
thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their
garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and
I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess
his name before my Father, and before his angels.
(KJV)
Rev 7:13-17
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which
are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These
are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes,
and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and
night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among
them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall
the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes.
(KJV)
Rev 14:1-13
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him
an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in
their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and
as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping
with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before
the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the
hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.
These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were
redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault
before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting
gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation,
and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the
hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the
wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any
man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead,
or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured
out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and
they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and
whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
(KJV)
Rev 19:1-8
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven,
saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the
Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the
great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath
avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and
ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and
worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye
his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the
voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia:
for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage
of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen,
clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
