Letter
from University Children's Hospital Dear Sirs,
We were pleasantly suprised by your attention
and wish to help us in these more than difficult times for our country. And under these
circumstances, with everyday bombing and threats and everyday increase of the number of
injured children, through maximum effort our Hospital is not decreasing magnitude of its
work, accepting for treatment all sick children.
In Children's Hospital are being threated
children from all the parts of our country, regardless to their nationality - because it
is the firm conviction and belief of the whole staff of the Hospital that child is only a
child regardless to the nationality and that medical assistance should be given to them to
a maximum extent. Unfortunately, our possibilities are every day lower and lower - we
are missing the medicines and medical material, which actually brings us in the
position when, despite our wishes and willingness, we are not able to help them because we
do not have with what.
Thanks to your will and will of all good
people, we are hoping that we will make it, but under these circumstances of course not
without your help.
We feel free to enclose the list of all our
requirements. We realize that we cannot get everything but even a part of same would mean
a lot.
We do not know in which way to thank you but
to put even more effort and struggle to help the children and only to say THANK YOU. Thank
you on behalf of the children whom you are helping to soonest return to the warmest
surroundings - the one of their parents' homes, thank you on behalf of their parents to
whom you are returning the children healthy and happy, and thank you on behalf of the
staff of Children's Hospital because you are giving them strength to continue their humane
profession in such hard times.
Please also accept my personal thanks as the
Director of this institution as well as the parent and a man. |
