A Friend You Never Knew


A friend you never knew
sometimes can be found,
And it will take you by surprise
As you didn't know they were around,
They may be very caring
with lots of knowledge for the sharing,
They might do you a great service
Or reassure you when you're nervous,
And it will most likely be a blessing in disguise
Which at first you might not realize,
But after a good deed or two
You'll understand why they found you,
And the surprise friend is the best to find
For they don't have to take theater to be kind,
The kindness just comes naturally
If it doesn't your friend they shouldn't be,
That not the only characteristic you need to seek
Would they help out if you suddenly became weak,
Are they willing to go out of there way just for you
Or place you with the less important things to do,
If someone can make all of the above true
You honestly found a friend you never knew.
