Canasta


Canasta is only a game
Win or lose it's all the same,
Your opponent might put the joke on you
But winning doesn't really matter that's true,
And she might take the pack on every discard
Getting five naturals but you know you worked hard,
The loss really shouldn't matter in the end
For you have spent quality time with a friend,
If your friend has more experience than you
Learn from the mistake so next time the same
error you will not lose too.
The game might be close or a blow out
Either way there is no reason to pout,
For the game is supposed to be enjoyable
Not tense, upsetting, and very stressful,
So if you can't play canasta and have fun
Perhaps the game should have never begun.
