Only Once

Only once a special friend is found
And to find them you must look around,
A friend doesn't just come up to you
They must be impressed by something you do,
Once a friend is impressed by you
They will be the nicest person you knew,
It might take many lonely, painful years
But you must look among you peers,
Finding a friend can produce tears
And tears can produce pain
Eventually driving you insane,
And your sanity you must keep
Even if you must go away and weep,
For those who are always sane
Are the only ones that can stop all the pain.
