my trip to BC

Okay... after much ado and a lot of nothing, I've finally posted the pictures from my trip to Victoria and Vancouver in August/September 2004.

Saturday, day 2 of my trip, and fuzzy already! Here's a shot of Jenna and I in downtown Victoria.

Still on day 2, here's the start of a series of downtown Victoria shots, in this one you'll see the Legislative Buildings (that's just for you Jenna!) in the distance as we walk past the Empress Fairmont Hotel.

A quick pause for a picture in front of the famous Empress Fairmont Hotel – notice the funky shrubbery jetting strangely toward the sky.

A close up of the Legislative Buildings – note that's Legislative not Parliament. Ahem.

And... standing in the same spot, facing the other direction, here's a rather nice shot of the harbour and once again the Fairmont Empress Hotel.

Oh... here's the harbour again... I seem to have documented every angle of this particular block in downtown Victoria.

Aww... don't I look happy! (Note to self: Don't lean back and stick belly out, not flattering, lol) Anyway, I'm standing outside of the Royal BC Museum, which was featuring an Egyptian exhibit. Apparently BC got on the let's-put-strange-painted-statues-of-[insert plural mammal name here]-everywhere bandwagon and decided to cover the city with wonderfully decorated whales.

I think he's afraid of the whales...
