When I had my shop, the questions I most often received were about "that fancy cathedral everyone has seen pictures of", (it's hard to believe that so many people don't even know where it is, much less what it is called), so I thought I would put a history of it on here (go to St. Basil's Cathedral) , as well as pictures of what is inside. Since it was built by Ivan IV (the terrible), and not very many people know that he also composed church music, I am going to try to find some of his music and put that on the page as well. (anyone know where I can get midi files of his music???)
The next page is a history of the Danilov Monastery in Moscow with a photograph of The Church Over the Gate.
On the next page are some photographs and the history of a remarkable place in Moscow: Tsaritsino. If you would like to see them, click here.
I have also started a page about Kolomenskoe, which is still under construction. (Boy, there sure is a lot to write about there!) To see what I have gotten done so far, click here.
There is also a section on The Dormition Cathedral in the Moscow Kremlin. I hope to be adding a few more photographs to this section soon.
