The word "church" is used to identify specific churches throughout the NT almost exclusively. Very visibly. Very locally

Revelation 1:6 we are kingly priests

The church is not Israel, the church is not the Kingdom

1Cor 12:12 the church is like a body Christ is the head and there are many members
Eph 2:20,21 the church is like a building
1Cor 3:9 we are fellow workers; a field; a building
