Work of faith
v9 -- turned to God from idols, which are those that take the
place of the true living God. In Matt 5:21, Jesus turned to see
who touched him. Turned in v9 is the same word with the same meaning.
Labor of love
A labor is something that is not easy. Service to the
living and true God. Eph 4 the preacher taught, the people served.
Steadfastness of hope
v10 to wait (<anamenein> ana +
menein
= emphatically + stay) for His Son from heaven
