Preparing Your Heart to Seek God

Judah did evil and fell, from glorious to rotten, from riches to rags.

I. Non-existent seeking -- Rehoboam (2Chron 12:14)
Did not set, prepare, his heart to seek the LORD

Unbalanced seeking

Knowingly -- Jehoshaphat (2Chron 19:3)
Took down high places tossed the prostitutes. But there is a "but",
what does it refer to? Verse 1 through 3 he was allying himself with the
ungodly.
We need to separate ourselves from not only the ungodly but also the
apostate.

unknowingly -- Israel under Hezekiah (2Chron 30:19)
But this does not mean that as long as your heart is in the right place...
They were still guilty - they were pardoned. 2Pet 1:5 we are commanded
to ... add knowledge to our virtue.

Proper Seeking -- Ezra (Ezra 7:10)

He studied the Law

Live the Word
He sought to do what he learned from what he studied.
