[Sarcasm alert: The following contains sarcasm to provoke thought,
but is not intended to be insulting to anyone.]
1. You accept the Jewish Beth Din (aka "sanhedrin")
of 359 AD, a court of "scribes" (Pharisees) in Tiberias,
Samaria, as having a greater authority than scripture.
(Forget Deu. 4:2 and Rev. 22:18, you should consider converting
to Judaism.)
2. You hold yourself and/or your church organization as having
a greater authority than scripture.
(You should realize that Pharisaism is not limited to Judaism.)
3. You prefer to observe the Jewish traditions of men rather
than what the Jews themselves call the "calendar in the
Bible".
(Don't let anyone confuse you with the facts.)
4. You choose to ignore the Jewish history of the Jewish calendar,
easily found in public libraries (most Jewish Encyclopedias,
plus others) which documents the evolution of their calendar,
its inaccuracies, and their plans to scrap it as soon as a new
Jerusalem Sanhedrin is convened.
(You probably also believe that if King James English was good
enough for Jesus, then it's good enough for you.)
5. You don't want to rock the boat in your group or church organization.
You don't want to risk persecution, ridicule and disfellowship
for the sake of discovering or upholding the truth.
(You really need to find a scripture that proves unity is more
important to God than truth.)
6. You lack faith in God to help you understand the calendar
dispute. You prefer to rely on others to tell you what to do
and what to believe. You accept as truth, what others say it
is, instead of proving (for yourself) all things, holding
fast that which is good (1Ths. 5:21).
(You should realize that you are a spiritual weenie .)
7. You actually did enough reading to recognize that the pro-calendar
arguments are based on contradictions, assumptions, faulty logic,
circular reasoning, quotes taken out of context, incomplete quotes,
arguments by misdirection, arguments by insinuation, arguments
by insult, and arguments by false association. But you are more
concerned with unity, control, salary, and insurance.
(Next time you pass a mirror, look at the "wolf", all
dressed up to deceive "a little child", determined
to make "merchandise" of her.) (Mat. 7:15, Acts 20:30,
Mat. 18:1-6; 2 Pet. 2:1-3.)
