Why does Strong's say "Jesus" is the name of two (three) Israelites", when it isn't found in the NT, except in reference to Christ. [Bar-jesus ("son of Jesus" or "son of Joshua") is found only once in the NT. It refers to only one Israelite.]

We have ten different words in Hebrew (or one word with ten different spellings and pronunciations) coming to the English word "Joshua". We have 'Joshua #3091, Yehowshua, or Yehowshuah, coming through the Greek Iesous, to the English word, "Jesus". Since "Joshua" = Jesus, we have arrived at the same word through two different etymologies.
From the Hebrew 'yeshuwah', (salvation) we come to the English "salvation". [Note: The authors of the "names" bible, "The Scriptures", insist that we cannot use the word "salvation".]
We have the Hebrew "Jehoshua #3091, Yehowshuwa or Yehowshua" coming to the English "Jesus" and "Joshua". The various spellings for 'Joshua' all mean "yhwh-saved", "deliverer", or "he will save". So whether we start with the Hebrew words for "salvation" and "Joshua", we still arrive at the English "Joshua" or "Jesus" or "salvation".In other words, Jesus = Joshua = Salvation.
So, when we read Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.", we understand the following:
"There is no salvation by any other name" = 'there is no 'Joshua' by any other 'Joshua', = 'there is no Jesus by any other Jesus' = 'there is no 'salvation' by any other 'salvation'.
So, even though there was Joshua of the Exodus, Hosea (Joshua) the prophet, Jesus (Joshua) the Christ, plus several other Israelites whose names also refer to 'salvation', there is only one Being through whom salvation may be obtained. The word salvation, in Hebrew, is #3444, yeshuwah, a form of #3467, yasha, a base of all the names translated as "Joshua" or "Jesus". In fact, 'Yeshua' is the most commonly used name for the Messiah by the pro-names groups.
Most of the pro-names groups use Acts 4:12 to imply that knowing the "correct Hebrew name" of the Son is critical to obtaining salvation. However, we see the "name" (in the sense of a label) shared by twenty different individuals using eleven different spellings in four different languages. In Romans 5:9-21, we see that salvation is credited to Christ's "death" in v.10, his "life" in v. 10, to "grace" v. 15, 17, to a "free gift" v. 16, to his "righteousness" v. 18, and his "obedience" v. 19.What is significant is how God uses names to reveal himself and his plan for us, to us. Perhaps the following will help illustrate.

Christ spoke, in Mat. 11:27, about 'revealing' the Father. Pro-names supporters say this has to do with the 'labels' or Hebrew names. A closer look at the language and at scripture, "reveals" something far more important than merely addressing someone with a label, such as "George" or "Fred", or "hyh" in some ancient language.

4. The word, "Jesus" has a 'family tree' and is not an artificial word.
5. Words can be transliterated, or translated, including names and still mean the same thing.
6. Scripture shows names being translated.
7. Scripture does not show God or Christ condemning anyone or withholding blessings or favor for using any or all of God's "shem" (names).
