Just couldn't resist, could you?

The Bible is an instruction book with simple directions on how to live forever,
[for example, ". . . if you will enter into (eternal) life, keep the commandments." Mat. 19:17].

It is also a history of mankind's repeated failures at following simple instructions,
[for example, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Rom. 3:23].

How does one sin?
"Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
1 Jn. 3:4.

Eze. 18: 4, ". . . the soul that sins, it shall die.
:5, But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,. . .
:9, Has walked in my statutes, and had kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says the Lord God.
:20, The soul that sins, it shall die. . . .
:21, But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
:22, All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned to him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live."

Deu. 11:26, "Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:
:27, A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
:28, And a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of the Lord you God,. . ."
30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:"

It's as simple as that, just two choices.

Will you choose to live, . . . or to die?
