Setting Description

Our story begins ins Sweet Valley, Calilfornia, a small southern California town. Palm trees and the Pacific, small spanish style houses and nice people, the perfect town. Sweet Valley is where our two main characters, Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, live. Sweet Valley is one of those towns where everybody knows your name, where people reach out to help one another. It is the ideal place to live.

Character Description

Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, identical twins, are the main characters of the story. Although they look alike, their personalities are as different as dark-blue and hot pink. They both have the same shoulder-length blond hair, sparkling blue-green eyes, and tanned, perfect size-six figures. However, their activities differ greatly. After school Jessica can be found doing springs and splits with the rest of the cheerleaders while Elizabeth put in a few hours at the newspaper office polishing up her latest column. Jessica lived for shopping and parties, Elizabeth was more likely to take a long walk on the beach with her best friend, Enid Rollins. But despite their differences, they were as close as only identical twins could be.

Problem Encountered

Working as interns at Flair , a popular new fashion magazine, should be the experience of a lifetime fort the twins. Jessica has dreams of becoming a model, Elizabeth is hoping to get more experience as a writer. Working for Quentin Berg, the photographer at Flair, is Jessica's big chance to make it as a model for a real magazine. However, she expected the job to be glamorous. Instead she has to clean up after Simone, a supermodel with a bad attitude. But, Jessica always gets what she wants. Elizabeth, meanwhile, is working for Leona Peirson, the sophisticated and elegant fashion editor at the magazine. But when Elizabeth brings a great idea to savvy Ms. Peirson, the editor takes all the credit!

Resolution to Problem

Elizabeth, with the help of Reggie, another staff writer at the magazine, she comes up with a plan to teach Leona a lesson. However, Elizabeth doesn't know that her plan could lead her into danger far worse than she ever imagined. Jessica, meanwhile has her own plan of revenge for Simone. Will the twins manage to make their internships work, or will they end up as the victims?

Recommendation

I highly reccommend this book. It is very interesting and fun to read. It is the first in a three-part miniseries. On a scale of 1-10, I rate this book a 12! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
