Journalism studies continue to attract bright and idealistic
students, irrespective to the handover to
China. Judges at the annual human rights media awards were impressed
by the student magazine, Varsity, produced at Chinese
University.
It is not the journalists who are self censoring
themselves. These controls come down from the top: Terry
Nealon. Terry Nealon heads the English Language News
and Current Affairs at the government broadcaster, RTHK. He believes
that busnessmen with interests in China will attempt to pressure
journalists so as to avoid upsetting Beijing.
