Somewhere

Somewhere where candles still pierce the dark and the sun shines though cotton ball clouds Somewhere where cool water laps the land and sea breezes are the only conditioned air Somewhere where feet are the only shoes to wear and tap dancing is optional There are songs to sing off key and hands to hold in the starlight White sand and non-sensibility Balleting trees with silent orchestrations A cast of shadows playing tag with a chorus of sunbeams Stretching the day into a long list of nothing left to do I cannot see it from my rooftop I cannot grasp it with my head top I cannot touch it with my fingertips I cannot taste it with my thirsty lips But in my heart I know this place is out there Somewhere
