THOU ART MORE LOVELY THAN A DAY IN SPRING

A Poem by Laurence David Sterling III

Thou art more lovely than a day in Spring that bursts forth with a thousand different fragrances and brings joy to a soul long wearied by the winter winds Within thy eyes I see the wisdom of a sage and the comfort of a friend. Thy voice brings music to my being, the words that leap from thy lips are as unwritten symphonies to me. Thy touch, thy kiss, thy firm embrace, makes me as a kite within the wind. Who's only tie to earth, a string, In a weakened moment, snaps and sets it free.
