DENTAL PRACTICE in Greece   

Dental Education         

...Is offered at the two state Universities: University of Athens and  University of Thessaloniki 

Visit  Athens (capital city of Greece) and Thessaloniki (the biggest city of  the northern province of Greece known as MACEDONIA).  

  Postgraduate studies are offered at both Universities, which can lead to MDS and Ph.D. diplomas. Unfortunately only two dental specialties are officially recognized (so far) and these are:  

• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• Orthodontics

  Dental care is provided by different insurance organizations to about 60% of the population. But the majority of people prefer to visit private dental practitioners.
