The following are some other sites that I have found useful in my quest to learn more about the lyrics of Bob Dylan. (There are many other sites dedicated to Dylan - and some of them are pretty good - but the ones cited here are of particular interest to those especially interested in Dylan's lyrics).
Subscribe to the Highway 61 Mailing List: This site allows one to subscribe to the Highway 61 Mailing List. A mailing list allows people with a similar interest (or obsession some might say) to communicate with one another electronically via email.
Highway 61 Archives: The "Highway 61 Archives" is the final resting place of all messages posted to either Rec.Music.Dylan or the Highway 61 mailing list. This site allows users to search through all the messages for a particular phrase, such as a song title, for example. At the time of this writing (09/09/98) posts are archived back to Febuary, 1995.
Sony's Bob Dylan Website: Sony's web page is excellent. A "must surf". It also has the lyrics to almost all the offically released songs, with the exception of those from the album Time Out of Mind.
Eternal Circle: This site has all the lyrics from the offical albums, including Time Out of Mind, and also some unoffical albums.
Expecting Rain - Who's Who in Dylan Songs: The purpose of this site is to identify (or at least speculate about) the people, places, and things mentioned in Dylan's songs.
Come Writers and Critics: The site lists books that have some relationship to Bob Dylan.
The Dylan Atlas: The Dylan Atlas is an encyclopedia of place names that are mentioned in the lyrics of Bob Dylan or have some significant meaning to fans of his work.
The Book: All the lyrics to offically released Bob Dylan songs.
The Bible Gateway: A searchable on-line bible. Available in many languages.
Slow Train Coming: Analysis of the religous works of Bob Dylan.
A Lily Among Thorns: Analysis of the lyrics of Bob Dylan from a Christian perspective.
The EDLIS Bibliography: This page is actually part of a large site EDLIS CENTRALE. This particular page provides a bibliography of the many books that have been published about Dylan. There's a lot of other interesting stuff as well.
20 Pounds of Headlines:A Dylan bibliography of magazine and journal articles.
Don't Think Twice: A collection of posts from rec.music.dylan concerning topics that are discussed frequently. (Too frequently for long-time readers.)
Tangled Up in Jews: This site is concerned with the influence of the Jewish faith on the work of Bob Dylan.
The Annotated Bob Dylan: This site can be used to find out more about the people, places and things mentioned in Bob Dylan songs. Also translates a few of the foreign phrases included in songs.
