Natural Wonders

Have you ever been amazed by the wonders of the earth, life, or the universe?

Psalm 148
Job 12
Wisdom 13
Canticle of the Sun

"Question the beauty of the earth. Question the beauty of the sea ... question the beauty of the sky ... All respond, 'See, we are beautiful.' Their beauty is a profession. These beauties are subject to change. Who made them if not the Beautiful One who is not subject to change?" -- Saint Augustine (Sermon 241, 2)

"Nature has some perfections, to show that she is the image of God; and some defects, to show that she is only His image." -- Blaise Pascal (1623-1662)

And the philosopher, always holding converse through reason with the idea of being, is also dark from excess of light; for the souls of the many have no eye which can endure the vision of the divine. -- Plato (The Sophist)

"Life is motion, a tending toward a purpose." -- St. Maximilian Kolbe (1894-1941)

Hope

Tribulations

Have natural disasters and tragic world events ever brought tears to your eyes?

Lamentations 3
Lord make me an instrument of your peace
Eileen George on "suffering"

"At the moment of death each one knows what is authoritative for him. Unfortunately we forget this when alive." -- St. Maximilian Kolbe

"If you want peace, work for justice. If you want justice, defend life. If you want life, embrace truth - truth revealed by God." -- Pope John Paul II

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send now Your Spirit over the earth. Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations, that they may be preserved from degeneration, disasters and war. May the Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary, be our Advocate, Amen."

Love

Have you ever wondered about the Reality beyond both joyful and sorrowful times?

The Beatitudes
John 16

At all times - the joyful and the sorrowful, God is present. For centuries and even now, our Blessed Mother Mary and our Lord Jesus have and continue to appear to persons around the world. We are reminded that God exists and that He loves each and every one of us and invites all of us, the whole human family, to change our hearts, and to return to His Love now so as to know, love, and serve Him in this life so as to be happy with Him forever in Heaven. In Our Blessed Mother's words, "I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, you must return to God".

Matthew 6:24-34

"With God everything, without God nothing! ... God wants to draw the soul to himself through love." -- St. Maximilian Kolbe

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God

Catholic Apparitions and Messages:

Luke 24
Acts 2:17-19

"When, O Mother Immaculate, will you become queen of all and each soul in particular? When will all the souls in the entire world know the goodness and love of your heart toward them?" -- St. Maximilian Kolbe

"As believers, how can we fail to see that abortion, euthanasia and assisted suicide are a terrible rejection of God's gift of life and love?" -- Pope John Paul II

Miracles and Apparitions

Evidence for the doubting Thomas or skeptic in us all.

John 20: 19-31

"O divine Spirit...renew in our own days
your miracles as of a second Pentecost." Pope John XXIII (1881-1963)

Just as praying the Rosary with our Blessed Mother draws us closer to Jesus, "signal graces" and "miracles" should lead one to greater love of God and neighbor, helping remind one and focus one's attention on God as central in one's life. Above all the "signal graces" and lower case "miracles", we should always remember the great upper case Miracle of Jesus' Resurrection, and His Real Presence in The Eucharist.

Come Follow Me

Where to go from here?

God invites us to meet Him in prayer - pray the Rosary with Mary our Blessed Mother, in reading and reflecting on His Word - the Bible, in the Church - meet Him in the Sacraments - meet Jesus in the Eucharist and in Reconciliation, to change our hearts. To work for justice and peace, and to share His Light, Love, and Peace with spouse, children, families, friends, co-workers, colleagues, teachers, students, neighbors, the sick, and needy. We can look to Mary and all the Saints for their example and intercession. We are invited to consecrate ourselves and our families to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Consider enrollment as a member of the Knights of Immaculata as an aid to sanctification of oneself, family, community, and the world.

John 19: 25-27

Leaves of Prayer

Pray at all times

"Jesus, Mary, I Love You, save souls"
O Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us.
St. Joseph, pray for us.

+ St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
