Why Not Honor The Blessed Virgin Mary?

An open challenge to all those who do not honor the Mother of GOD.

"If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24

We are to be imitators of Christ, 1Cor 4:16. We are to do as He did.
We are to take up our crosses and follow Him, Matthew 16:24.
Many are unwilling to follow Him when the subject turns to His mother.

Jesus Christ, being GOD Himself, wrote the ten commandments.
One of those commandments is "Honor Your Father and Mother."
Now since He wrote them, He above all followed them. See John 15:10.
He certainly did honor His Father and His Mother, do you honor His mother?
Are you following in His footsteps when you refuse to honor her?

As a child, Jesus no doubt, was subjected to the parental authority of both His mother
and His foster father, and He obeyed their commands. See Luke 2:51.

Here is the Challenge...
Luke 1:48, "...behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."
Do you believe what Holy Scripture says?
'Behold' means to perceive by the visual or mental faculty, to comprehend.
'Henceforth' means from this point on, or from now on, meaning from the time she said it.
'All Generations' means everyone from the time she said it until the end of the world.
I presume that does include all non-Catholics as well.
'Shall' denotes a command and not a suggestion.
'Call me Blessed'. This is what is commanded.
You and I and everyone else are part of a generation. Do you call her 'Blessed Mary'? I think not, for when I receive criticism of her from non-Catholics, the word 'blessed' is never there.
It is always just Mary this, or Mary that.
Now, with which word(s) of Luke 1:48 do you have a problem?

Isn't it being hypocritical to profess a belief in Holy Scripture,
and yet to ignore verses which are so obvious as these?

Does anyone care to give me answers to this? Facts only please, and no personal opinions. If you want to bring up the 'One Mediator' question, then please do it after you read 'There is Only One Mediator', elsewhere on this website.

Catholics do not 'worship' Blessed Mary as non-Catholics mistakenly say, we 'honor' her as Jesus Christ did. Catholics follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, do you?
