A woman who was helping at a church rummage sale bought a hat for $2. She laid it on a table in the back, intending to take it home later. When the sale was over and she went to get it, it was gone. She asked some of her fellow workers if anyone had seen the hat on the back table. "Was it white with a little black ribbon on it?" a woman asked. "Yes," the purchaser answered. "Oh," said the lady, "you'll be glad to know I was able to sell the ugly thing. I got 50 cents for it, too."
