Welcome to Bad As I Wanna Be (which, incidentally, isn't all
that bad.) The purposes of this page are 1) to provide me with a
place to practice composing and editing web pages, 2) to be a home base
for all my other cyber-ventures, and 3) to publish some basic info about
me and my family. Don't expect updates all that often, but do expect
to see some pretty cool things.
Schpiel and Contacting Me are "just the facts," and they won't change
a whole lot. Other is where I'll put all the interesting, updated
content.

I...I...I...Let's Talk About Me Now...
I'm the son of a professor (Dad) and a nurse (Mom), both of whom had Luxembourger
blood. I'm the youngest of their three children, the other two being
my older brother and my even older sister. They both have jobs and
attend the same university. I was born in late 1982 (Sagittarius)
in South Bend, Indiana, but I've also lived in Iowa and California.
I now live in Roseville, Minnesota, which is right outside of St. Paul,
where I go to school at Cretin-Derham
Hall High School (CDH -- home of the Raiders). I am a 16-year
old junior there, and I'm involved in the Quiz
Bowl/Knowledge Bowl (QB/KB) extracurricular, drama, and service work.
Although I have worked at school as a janitor, babysat, and created web
pages, I have no "real" job. I am interested in reading, computers,
languages, and current events (not necessarily in that order). My
friends are my science classmates and people in Quiz Bowl or drama.
Five things I like
are: the television series "The
Simpsons," the magazine National Geographic, the band R.E.M.,
the writer Mark Twain, and orange juice.

This Just In:

(4-10) I just found out about a week ago that my house is a block and a
half from the 45th parallel itself. Meaning that I live basically
on that big 45 degrees N line on all globes and maps...Meaning that my
house is situated almost DIRECTLY BETWEEN THE NORTH POLE AND THE EQUATOR!!!
IS THAT NOT THE COOLEST THING YOU'VE EVER HEARD???!!! DON'T YOU WISH
YOU WERE ME!!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!

(4-11) CDH Raider baseball received great (and deserved) praise on the
front page of the Sports section of Minnesota's newspaper, the St. Paul
Pioneer Press, just this week...the article is available for reading somewhere
on their web site for another half of a week, but just read this
copy I made.

(4-12) Happy Easter! National Geographic is one of my favorite periodicals.
Therefore, I decree that Easter is celebrated the National Geographic (and
conveniently non-denominational) way this year on Bad As I Wanna Be:

population as Rapa Nui, was set foot on by Europeans this exact day, 276
years ago.

(5-6) CDH Knowledge Bowl team Gold (I) won the state championship!

(6-1) This summer marks the 50th anniversary of Roseville,
MN, becoming a city -- huzzah! Around the Twin Cities, Roseville
is basically known for its shopping centers Rosedale and Har Mar Mall.
Three interesting things about Roseville are that the first McDonald's
in Minnesota was located here, the first Target store in the nation was
built here, and the largest outdoor skating
rink in the western hemisphere makes its home here.

(7-10) Just an update on my life as a soon-to-be junior/16-year old: I
don't have a girlfriend, I can't drive, and I don't have a job. I
figure two of those things may be part of the reason for the other thing,
but I'm not sure which are which. If you've got a guess, send me
an e-mail.

(7-26) Two weeks ago, a dream was born: I decided to grow a mustache, and
to proudly become -- for the benefit of the entire Internet community --
the first man to make a daily record of the progress of his facial hair
growth, on-line. Enter...Mustache Watch, the newest addition to Cool
Stuff!

(12-22) Here's some news that's been made since I last edited this site. I starred in the children's/amateur play at my school, Jesse Ventura was elected Governor of my state, and the President of the U.S. was impeached. I figured you'd know about the first two, but the last one didn't get a whole lot of press coverage, and you may not have known.
