Hi! Thanks for visiting me. A brief introduction. I was born in Allahabad, a city in Northern India, mostly famous for being at the confluence of two major rivers the Ganga and the Yamuna. At a very young age I shifted to Pondicherry, a small but beautiful town in the eastern coast of Southern India, where I spent some of my most memorable days. It is here that I completed the major part of my education, right from KG to my bachelor's, at Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education . I was drawn away from this paradise in pursuit of knowledge (which I am still seeking!) to north India to complete my master's in physics at Indian Institute of Technology , Kanpur in 1990 and then my Ph.D. at Jawaharlal Nehru University , New Delhi in 1996, with Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy . After my Ph.D. I briefly came back towards Southern India working as a research associate at National Chemical Laboratory , Pune where I did a project on wavelets with Dr. B.D. Kulkarni and Dr. Ravi Kumar and later at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad where I worked on protein structures with Dr. B.V.B. Reddy. I then had the opportunity to work at one of the most prestigious institutions, namely National Cancer Institute , an institute in National Institutes of Health , Bethesda, USA, continuing my efforts to understand protein folding dynamics. I worked here with Dr. B.K. Lee and had fruitful interactions with all the members of his group. Now I am back in India and back to CCMB as a scientist in Bioinformatics.
