Banff Community High School
alumni will be celebrating the
35th anniversary of their
building. BCHS was opened in
September 1962. Since that
time, over 1000 graduates have
passed through the doors of the
building. To celebrate, alumni
and staff of BCHS have
organized a Homecoming
weekend that will be open to all
former students and staff of all
the Banff school system over
the years.

BCHS was originally named
Banff Composite High School
but adopted the "Community"
component during the 1980's
when it became part of the
Community Schools system in
Alberta.
BCHS has undergone several
changes, both physically and
academically. It will be of
interest to compare what was
with what is.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who has ever attended or been
on staff of a school in Banff is invited to
Homecoming'97. That includes the old
brick Banff High School and Banff
Elementary School.
If you went to those old brick buildings,
we can refresh your memories through
pictures and stories.
If you attended the present school, this
will be a time to resurrect old memories
of that building and the friendships that
began there.
It will be a family weekend, so bring
your spouse, children,
grandchildren......whoever!
