1528

Jacob Wiedemann's group decided to pool all their belongings. This was the beginning of Hutterian communism.

1529

A group of Anabaptists under the leadership of Hans Fasser moved here from Krumau in Bohemia. Many of them were originally from North Tyrol (Austria). Their intention was to join with the Brethren under the leadership of Jacob Wiedemann. But the newcomers observed that Wiedemann's practice did not always live up to the high ideals of his teaching. [Packull, Hutterite, p.214]

1530

George Zaunring arrived in Austerlitz with a group of Anabaptists from the Tyrol. Zaunring soon became the unofficial leader of the Tyrolese immigrants here, after Hans Fasser was exiled as a "fornicator". [Packull, Hutterite, p.215]

October/November 1530
Wilhelm Reublin arrived in Austerlitz around this time, a sick man. He brought with him a letter of introduction from Pilgram Marpeck. Even though Reublin was one of the founders of Swiss Anabaptism, the leaders in Austerlitz would not allow him to preach. Naturally, this upset him. [Packull, Hutterite, p.215]

1531

8 January 1531
Wilhelm Reublin and about 150 adults left Austerlitz and headed for Auspitz. It was the dead of winter. [Packull, Hutterite, p.217]

1540
