Leonard Schiemer was captured, after a 6-month career as an Anabaptist preacher/missionary. At first he was treated well by the magistrate, but after an attempted escape he was treated more severely.

Leonard Schiemer was burned at the stake, prompting Pilgram Marpeck to resign his government post.
