Many Jews were killed in a ritual desecration libel (being accused of desecrating one of the Christian sacraments). The rest were expelled, but were able to return a few years later.

Anabaptist leaders Eucharius Binder, Joachim Martz & Hieronymus of Mansee were burned at the stake.

Eighteen people were burned to death on the same day.

George Steiner's daughter was drowned to death in a horse trough.

1542

Leonard Bernkop was captured and accused of heresy. He refused to recant, so he was burned to death over a slow fire. Reportedly he said to his executioners: "Turn me around. My side nearest the fire is roasted enough and the other remains undone."
