Augustine Bader & Gall Vischer visited here and helped to build the local Anabaptist congregation.

June 1528

The Anabaptist group here was ruthlessly stamped out: 5 leaders were beheaded, the other 30 were burned through the cheeks, beaten and driven out of town. Augustine Bader escaped, but his mental state was affected. He began to develop messianic pretensions.
