May 1529
After fleeing Switzerland, George Blaurock entered this region of the Tyrol and made Klausen his center of activity. He was accompanied by Hans Langegger, a Tyrolian native. From here Blaurock went on preaching and baptizing excursions down the Eisack Valley as far as Neumarkt (Egna).
6 September 1529
George Blaurock & Hans Langegger were burned at the stake on the Holzschranne near Klausen. Blaurock was 37 years old. In the crowd of people who witnessed the executions was 8-year-old Peter Walpot, a future leader of the Hutterites.

1531

September 1531
Ulrich Muller was arrested and imprisoned in Klausen.
15 November 1531
Ulrich Muller was beheaded.

1535

19 (or 30) November 1535
Jacob Hutter & his pregnant wife Katharine were captured near Klausen in the house of a former sexton named Hans Steiner. They were both taken to the fortress of Brandzell. Shortly thereafter, Jacob was taken under guard to Innsbruck.
