1420

February 1420
The Taborites who had captured the nearby town of Usti a few days earlier moved to a promontory here which jutted into the Luznica River, forming a natural fortress they named Tabor.

March 1420
Jan Zizka and his soldiers arrived here from their headquarters at Plzen. He quickly defeated the local feudal lords and took over the town.

September 1420
Mikulas of Pelhrimov was elected bishop.


1421

20 April 1421
Jan Zizka and his Taborite army defeated the fanatical Picards. Twenty-five of them were burned at the stake.


1452

The Utraquists finally defeated the Taborites and took over the town.
