A man wondering though the depths of the sub-zero desert ragged from seemingly hours of trudging through deep snows. He spots what seems to be a moving dirty pile of snow in the distance. He is not worried though he has seen them before somehow this one was different. It moved at a slow but determined pace toward the now apprehensive man. The man draws his trusty weapon stareing deep into the cold ice blue eyes of this snow encrusted lump. They slowly circle each other the man hardly able to breathe for fear of showing any signs of apprehension. Suddenly the creature lunged at him with a long furry appendage, grabbed the man's hand and shook him with such force as to flatten him onto the snow. It suddenly growled "Hi Fred" and the man replied "Hi Jim" and they continued on through the snow towards home.By Tim Kyle (einstein@juno.com)
Bob was your average Bob, just 3 years out of college. He had a happy marriage, he thought, to his wife of almost 5 years. He had a good job at a growing law firm. Everybody liked him because he just had that air that some people have that makes them easy to get to know, and forgive if need be. One night as Bob came home from work two hours early after the air conditioner broke down. He noticed a strange car in the drive way. As he walked in the door he noticed two piles of clothes on the floor and a loud thrashing soundin the closet. Bob stood there for a second stunned as to waht was happening around him. He snapped upright and realized what he had to do. He slowly but resolutely walked back to his car. He drove to the mountain overlooking his house and slowly plodded thoughtfully to the cliff. He walked out to the edge and looked down. He saw the owner of the car and his very own wife walking out of the house together. Bob let out a scream and lept through the air. As he floated out something on his competitions car caught his eye. He saw a sign on the door that said "Salvation Army Pickup Service." They say in your last moments you think awfully fast and it didn't take long for Bob to put 2 and 2 together and realise that he had made a terrible mistake. The ground was coming up fast now, so he shut his eyesand prepared for the end. He heard a sudden crack and felt the cold hard earth below him. Then he realised he was alive, saved from death by the large pine tree his father had planted whan he was a child. The Salvation Army guy left in an awful hurry, trying to get medical help for a man in trouble. But Bob was in great shape and was so happy that he had evaded the results of his snap decision. He grabbed his wife in a bear hug blotting out the world around him so happy to be alive. Unfortunatly he did not hear the crack of the tree, weakened by breaking a man's fall, as it fell and crushed both of them.Tim Kyle (einstein@juno.com)
Once upon a time there was a young man named Bob who was walking through the forest near his house when he saw a beautiful young lady and her boyfriend resting from their journey on a nearby road. Suddenly a large bear ambled by, near the young man and his respective woman. The woman started to scream while the man got up, ran to the wagon, and took off leaving his horrified girlfriend standing on the rock. Now Bob had seen many bears before and know what to do, he grabbed several large sticks and rocks and threw them at the bear causing it to decide to pursue a quieter and less abrasive meal. The distressed lady quit screaming as fast as she had started and ran to Bob, threw her arms around him, and kissed him. Bob was so surprised that he fell back, hit his head on a rock and died. Once upon a time, at least that's the way almost all of these
stories start, I don't know why, maybe it started out with the creation
of French Toast (don't ask), or maybe it had to do with the small problem
Napoleon had when inspecting his troops in July, or maybe it's just one
of those things that happened when some dope smashed his finger with a
hammer. Imagine: the peaceful
