My Dirscherl family, as far as I know, originates with Andreas Dirscherl, born ca. 1765, in Kager bei Cham, Oberpfalz, Bayern, Deutschland (Kager by Cham, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany). The grandson of Andreas, also Andreas, married Katharina Aumeier in Kager bei Cham 24 October 1849. Katharina died in Kager in August of 1861.
The Dirscherls were day labourers, and eventually became farmers.
Andreas eventually moved to Dietersheim, Oberbayern, Bayern, Deutschland (Dietersheim, Upper Bavaria, Bavaria, Germany) where his son and daughter married 23 January 1883 in a double wedding. Son Josef Dirscherl married Katharina Felsner and the couple had 12 children, 6 of whom died in childbirth. Daughter Maria married Katharina's brother Andreas Felsner; the couple had 8 children before Maria died.
The 7th child of Josef Dirscherl and Katharina Felsner, Katharina Dirscherl, was born 18 May 1890 in Dietersheim. She eventually married Anton Hanrieder. The couple left Munich and settled in Saskatchewan, Canada, where they raised a family of 5 children. . Katharina died 28 Dec 1980, in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
Family names include: Alt, Aumeier, Bücherl, Felsner, Fölsner, Rieder and Rohrmüller.
