EL INSTITUTO de MANDEVILLA is a private, co-educational institution. The school caters to the all-round development of children, ages 3 to 13 years. It is a member of the Jamaica Independent Schools Association and has been registered with the Ministry of Education for the past eighteen years.
The founder and Principal is Mrs. Audrey V. Salmon, who has been a Jamaican educator at both the primary and secondary levels for over thirty-four years.
The Preparatory School is to celebrated its 15th anniversary September 1998. Its curriculum is based upon the Ministry of Education's programme for all primary schools in Jamaica. We also offer a Special English Course to foreign students who may wish to study English in Jamaica.
The school is not affiliated with a special religious organisation but Religious Education is a part of the curriculum and devotional exercises are held each day.
We have accomodation for two hundred and sixty students.
