The Highland Village of Drumnadrochit
(Ridge of the Bridge)

Parish of Urquhart and Glenmoriston

Entering Drumnadrochit from Inverness

Drumnadrochit, situated within the Great Glen in the area known as Glenurquhart which also encompasses the villages of Lewiston, Milton and Balnain, is 14 Southwest of Inverness on the A82 trunk road. The beautiful Loch Ness area is renowned for its tourist attractions but none more so than its great mystery, Nessie. With two monster exhibitions, craft shops, a glassblowing studio, various pubs, hotels, restaurants and different forms of accommodation, the tourist is well provided for. Outdoor enthusiasts can spend their time horse-riding, pony-trekking, hill-walking or fishing. Daily boat trips on the Loch are provided by a number of local companies.
