1. The disciples asked a question about why the blind man they saw had been born blind. Their question shows that they believed: sickness and physical handicap are the result of sin.

2. Jesus said that the fact the man was born blind was: ordained that the works of God would be manifest in him.

3. When the man who had been blind was brought before the Pharisees: they were not entirely convinced of the identity of this man with the man known to be blind from birth.

4. The Pharisees were unconvinced by the man's testimony that a miracle had been performed: until they called his parents and learned from them that he had been born blind.

5. The response of the Pharisees, confronted as they were with an undeniable miracle, was to: ask the man to deny that Jesus had anything to do with it and direct his praise to God.

6. The response of the blind man's parents to the questioning of the Pharisees was to: disclaim any knowledge concerning the miracle that was performed.
