After many years working as a medical technologist in a hospital lab setting and as a middle school science teacher, I now have the good fortune to be able to stay home and work my small sewing and embroidery business. I do have the privelege of working part time in a sewing machine shop here in St. Louis. I never knew work could be so much fun.
I especially enjoy sewing
for my kids, my home and quilting.
I have a Brother PC 8500, Brother ULT 2003D and a Babylock Embroidery Professional Embroidery Machine, and I am have all kinds of fun!
There are all kinds of resources on the internet for machine embroidery, so when I'm not stitching, I'm surfing
I also own a Bernina 930 and a Bernina 153 sewing machine and a Babylock Evolve serger. I used to own an Elna 945 serger, so I started the Elna Sergers mail list group on Yahoo groups. I have learned SO much from the mailing lists I'm on for embroidery, sewing, and serging.

I also love cats. I have three: a torti point Siamese (Abby), a short haired calico tabby (Callie), and a seal point bi-color ragdoll (Mellie). Abby is 16 years old, Callie is 9, and Mellie just celebrated her first birthday in February. They are
all very sweet and my family (along with Bailey, our Golden Retriever), adores them.

I also collect Chatty Cathy dolls, one of my Childhood favorites. I enjoy making clothes for them. They never complain about the fit. I belong to an e-mailing list for Chatty collectors.
Visit my Chatty pages at 2003 Christmas Swap and Roxie Teaches Tasia to Sew to see some of the fun we have on our mailing list.
