research professor
Hanyang University,
Seoul, Korea
Vladimir V. Saveliev was graduated from Novosibirsk State University (NSU), Novosibirsk, Russia in physics and applied mathematics (1976). His major field of study was the experimental physics, namely the parametric excitation of waves on the surface of liquid.
He was with Institute of Automation and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IA&E) as a research scientist from 1976 to 2000. Then he was with Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) during 2 years as a visiting scientist. After that he joined the Research Institute of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea where he is currently working as a research professor. His scientific research interests of the first period (before 2000) include nonlinear physical phenomena (parametric excitation of waves), data processing (array processors), and optical informational systems (photoelectronic VLSI, optical instruments, and 3D imaging). His current fields of interest are the following mobile computing, processing of 3D images, 3D display devices, image quality, moire efffect, voxel method.
Mr. Saveliev is the member of the Optical Society of America (OSA). He is listed in Who's Who in the World 26-th Edition (2009). He is the author of more than 70 scientific publications including a book chapter.
