An Introduction to the Quest
To every story there is a beginning. To begin, one must be introduced...
Why do we need an introduction? You already have no clue what you're getting yourself into, why muddy up the matter with more prologue? Well, my friend, as we inch ever so much closer to beginning, I wish to set a proper frame of mind and commence with introductions.
Please, let me introduce Jack Schmidt. I intend to delve into this man far more, as the story progresses, but still...well, it is sometimes useful to know more then less.
Like a few other people in the world, he's a Minnesotan. Born and raised there he amiablly went about his life forging his future and dreams. He went to school, dated, and made friends. He even left Minnesota and returned, happy to be back, much to the surprise of many non-Minnesotans. It was home, where family, friends, girlfriend, college, and grad school were. His life seemed set, and he liked what was ahead. His first year of Med School was a success, his girlfriend was perfect, his parents loved her, and everything made perfect sense.
But, alas, things change. And as we all know so well, it is often not in ways we like.
