A Man's Request

Give me the blue sky
The cold Earth letting out a green sigh

Give me spring
Not cooped up in classrooms
Staring out the window
Past the fair silhouette of
The girl whose eyes never avert
From the flowers flailing in the sweet wind
outside

Oh, give me shore
To throw up my castles of sand
A pier to throw my wishes to the sea
For you to meet me

Give me love
At least
I will find the rest
