dada shoutcast absolut dada buy dada my community fansite links dada live!
June 29, 2001 - Alright, well as I've found another means of storage, the mp3s will be implemented with the new site design...I'm biting the bullet and buying space on another provider, as well as upgrading my yahoo status to 100Mb, so that annoying little window that keeps popping up will dissappear.  Blue Girl will shortly follow.  I've recently come across some more dada rarities, ones that I'm 99% positive will be an absolutdada.com exclusive:)  The new site is coming along nicely and I've decided that Butterfly Jones will get it's own webpage, and Joie's solo project (along with his book) will be featured as soon as I get some info/images about it.  I'm wanting this new site layout to be all things dada, and I've gone to great lengths to make it as unique as possible.  I will have a low-speed connection along with a high-speed, the main difference being that the high-speed connection will feature full-length streaming dada songs, which is something I've already tested with the opening page (for those of you who've heard "dog" playing, you know what I'm talking about).  As for everything else, I've come across some rare finds as to singles and dada concert bills, so I'm planning on scanning some new images in, as well as adding the singles to the dada mp3 collection.  The BFJ site (for those of you who don't know, it's Mike and Phil's joint project) will feature any approved MP3 releases, pics, and band info I can get my hands on.  I've been in contact with a few people and I think I'll receive some good band support with the site;)   Anyway, that's about it for now...I can't wait until the album comes out and the launch of the new absolutdada.com!  It's going to rock my world, baby!

- Okay, I lied...I'll get the good Blue Girl up ASAP, I've been busy redesigning a new template for this site with a dadaFAN from Indonesia.  Not much else to report, made some cosmetic changes here and there.  Get ready for a full-fledged professional absolut dada here in the next few months!  My little egg is starting to hatch...it looks like it has two heads though...hmmm, I suppose it's better than a flipper baby...

- I've linked up to CDNOW to lead you all to the pre-order page for Butterfly Jones...I'm definitely getting that badboy!  I'm still working on the tabs, I've been going to business trips like you wouldn't believe.  Anyway, there might be a little problem with downloading some of the dada tunes for a day or two, i-drive is selling out to another company, and I have 10 days to find another...I've found one already, but they only allow 25Mb of space...so I might have to do a little bit of devious behavior and become 6 different people.  Also, I've fixed the version of Blue Girl that's on i-drive, I'll upload it later today...the one I had on there was choppy as hell.  Keep the faith, and check out Butterfly Jones!

- Okay folks, it's official...dada has inspired me to pick up my guitar after a four-year hiatus!  I've downloaded the existing tabs that are on the dadaland.com site and will be cleaning them up and filling in the holes where the original authors left off.  All of them state that this is okay in the actual tabs by the authors, so I don't want to hear any bitching about stealing material;)  I'll be posting these when I get them fairly complete, and will be making a template that actually looks like song sheets instead of that crappy formatting they originally used...plain text sucks!  Look for these in the weeks to come.  Also, I've recently been approached by a fellow dada fan who wants to help me make this site kickass...I've taken him up on it (I've seen his sample design and it rawks!!) and you'll soon be seeing a much more professional looking site...with my artistic touch, of course;)  The Shoutcast server has been put on standby for now, I'll be getting that up sometime in July/early August.  My roommate's going in on me for the cost, and he'll be playing some rare and cool jazz/blues tunes on the days not strictly set aside for dada;)  I'll have a complete show lineup and playlist ready for when the server goes up.  I'm also looking into different website hosts, as I'm really wanting to get a pretty decent messageboard up here...that is, unless I decide to play around with some cgi scripts...we'll see, but stay tuned!

- I've changed the purpose of the site...and I feel better about it;)  This place is mine, now:)  I'm happy there's others out there who love dada, but as unique as the band is, I feel that each fan is rather unique and loves them for their own reasons...  Keeping this in mind, I'm all about absolutdada.com being my own personal tribute to dada "the band", not to dada "the fans"...although you're all more than welcome to have fun here, and if you want to get to know me more, come join my community.

April 25, 2001
- Well, the site has a new look;)  Finally, something I can feel halfway decent about.  As of tomorrow, it will officially be www.absolutdada.com!!!  I'm looking into buying a server through Yahoo to host the Shoutcast station...stay tuned...it's still going to be cheaper than Realplayer's software.  I've just got to finish restoring my chevy malibu...got a 350 Horsepower 350 to put in it next month, once that's done, it's all about dada!  Until then, enjoy the downloads and feel free to drop a hello in the guestbook.  As of this Friday, I'm leaving for Sacramento for a week...maybe I can catch some shows;)  Let me know if any of the live files need touching up, and I'll get right on it.  Different players play the files differently, so let me know if they sound iffy on your configuration.

April 15, 2001
- Okay, the live dada section is up (so much for April 8th), chock full of dada you can't find anywhere else (for the most part).  I've also added some new links to the fansites, as well as another link to buy dada.  I plan to have the shoutcast server up sometime this month...having a little trouble configuring my server, and have gone to the Shoutcast gurus for help...stay tuned!!!  And remember, dada day is coming up!!!  I am now officially listed on Yahoo, Lycos, and about 30 other search engines...more to come as I get some more time to fill out forms (oh yay).  I want everyone to be able to have a dada fansite popup when they search for the band, instead of that damned art movement;)  Also, if you want to link to my site, please use the linkable image above!!  Thanks;)

April 7, 2001
- Well, I finally got PhotoShop!  Finally, a site logo;)  Yay for me or something.  I've decided to put up a shoutcast server this weekend instead of offering the dada files for download.  The live dada will be available by tomorrow.  I've also changed having a messageboard to just having a guestbook, so make sure you sign it when you come and visit!!

April 5, 2001
- I now have a disclaimer on my site as to the pictures contained on it.  I had originally had one up, but I guess I had deleted it at one time during my updates.  I apologize to everyone who thought I was taking credit for their pics.  Most of the stuff out on the net are cool concerts pics I've never had the opportunity to get (like the chataqua pic on the albums page).  I will be investing in a scanner in the next few months, and will be getting photoshop this weekend, so plan on seeing some original artwork and abum pic scans in the near future.  As far as the MP3 debate goes, I don't have full albums up, but if any of the members f the band feel I'm dicking them over, then they're coming down (unless I can convince them otherwise...).  I also nixed the link to altavista image search, as dada just wasn't showing up no matter what I did.  I'll save that section for my own pics...again, not having my own damned scanner's starting to piss me off, and I don't think Tim will be too keen on my coming over to his place all the time......

April 3, 2001
- I put up the new dizzkneeland.com link, as well as re-arranged the page.  I'm just starting to really mess around with the html, so who knows what's next;)  The pics page is working, linking you up with altavista's picture search engine, pre-programmed for dada.  I'll be uploading the rest of the albums this week.  I've got a good selection of live dada I haven't found anywhere else, and that will be up be this weekend as well, featuring "Eddie's Underwater Ferrari", "Stretch Annie", "Little Way", and a bunch of others I scoured napster for:)  Stay tuned....

March 26, 2001
- I put up the link for the "I'm Feeling Nothing" single, as well as the link to dada - dada, the self titled 1998 release.  Future updates this week will be for the other albums, as well as making a live music database, as I scour the net and napster to find rare dada, you'll be the first to know;)  Oh, and I got an e-mail from Joie Calio today (he's the bassist, for those of you who don't know) and he's definitely pursuing a solo project, and says dada is coming out with another album by the end of the year.  He's mentioned that they're thinking about touring for it as well, and says that the Oklahoma area is definitely going to be within the touring arena:)  I'm so excited...I might actually get to see dada!!!   Oh, and this one page dada fansite is obviously not going to cut it, in my opinion, so I've been thinking of expanding it to a few more pages, as I find more dada to add to my page;)  Keep those links coming, I've got another 10Mb of space on this server to add as much as I want, and infinite idrive.com storage...each account's 50Mb, baby!  I so need a site logo....

1 - Fixed the "Puzzle" link, now it brings you to the correct page. I'm fising the "dada - dada" link now, and the rest should be up sometime tomorrow.  I've ripped all the songs into 192 KB/s bitrates, so they should sound a lot better than the run-of-the-muck Napster formats.  I want to eventually touch up some of the live digital music files I have, to get the most out of them before I post them up, so that "live = crappy sound" won't be a factor with dada.  We'll see what magic I can perform;)
