The Pros and Cons of Unrepentant Sadism
By Alicia McKenzie

Story’s total rating: 80.30

The good: Both Judge #1 and #3 thought that this was a story you had to laugh with. They both agreed that the story made sense. I do believe Judge #1 put it best by saying, “Unlike many SC stories I have seen, I believe that this one is fairly accessible to those unfamiliar with the writer's work (and actually serves as a rather nice introduction to that work).” Judge 1 and 3 both talked about this story being a nice fun read.

The bad: Judge #2 had to basically that it wasn’t badly written but that it was like all SC’s and it came across more as ego boosting then anything else. Judge #3 had to say this, “People who aren’t familiar with Alicia’s writing may not get much out of it.” Of course we have to add that the same judge wrote, “It made about as much sense as an SC story should be expected to make, and in fact it made more sense than most fairly popular ones do.”

The Summary: A nice Subreality piece about poor stressed out Alicia unwinding by torturing her favorite man…CABLE! As with most Subreality Café’s there were several mentions to other stories in it. Basically a very nice dialogue between writer and character with a nice ending. This story won the subreality category so go and read it!
