Copyright 2001 In the warmth of the day June snow startles as it floats to and fro a ballet of white fairies twirling, whirling with each tiny breeze Some fairies are snagged by lurking limbs Others plump exhausted in fluffy slumps against fences, walls and humps One fairy clings to my sleeve never melting under my inquisitive gaze Then I gently puff to release that fairy of cottonwood fluff
