Dennis Kucinich

(Dennis Kucinich)"You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one."

I support the "unelectable" presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. Kucinich is open, sincere, and brave. He has a vision for this Country no other candidate has. He dares to speak what is in all our mind but we don't have the courage to believe possible.

So often, impossible achievements are the only ones worth struggling for.

PS: On April 23, Scott and I went to see Dennis talking at Robin's Books in Philadelphia. Boy, the guy is cool. Charismatic, yet caring, attentive, present, really, really smart, has read any book worth reading on the planet (and can quote them). America, why aren't you ready for him?

Pacifism

Is war ever the best way to solve a conflict? Keep your eyes open, and you will witness every day the catastrophic effects of the misuse of war.
I strongly oppose the war on Iraq.

"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?"
--Mahatma Gandhi, Non-Violence in Peace and War

"If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in the struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos."
--Martin Luther King

5/26/2004: The New York Times publishes an editorial that looks critically to its reporting on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. "... we have found a number of instances of coverage that was not as rigorous as it should have been. In some cases, information that was controversial then, and seems questionable now, was insufficiently qualified or allowed to stand unchallenged. Looking back, we wish we had been more aggressive in re-examining the claims as new evidence emerged -- or failed to emerge." .

On March 16, 2003, Rachel Corrie was murdered by an Israeli bulldozer driver while attempting to defend a Palestinian doctor's home from demolition.

(Oreo Cookies and the Federal budget)Confused on how the Federal budget works? Wondering why we can afford to go to war but not to have decent schools and health care for children? Wonder no more. View Ben Cohen's flash animation explaining the federal budget using Oreo cookies.

Buddhism

(zen circle) May all living beings have happiness and the cause of happines
May all living beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering
May all living beings never be separated from the ultimate happiness that knows no suffering
May all living beings abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion.

I serve as member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Buddhist Association.
