Grading Guidelines
 

Approximate Percentage Breakdown

15% of total quarter grade is based upon homework done in their journal.  No late journal work.  Journal work done in hast and/or done below the student's ability level will be down graded, a lot. 

10% on periodic review quizzes.

35% on individual tests and quizzes.

40% on participation, citizenship and lab scores.

A student that is late in fulfilling her/his consequence for poor behavior may have their grade withheld until amends have been made.

The school's grading scale is shown below.

97, 96, 95, 94	A
93	A-
92, 91	B+
90, 89, 88	B
87	B-
86, 85	C+
84, 83, 82, 81	C
80,	C-
79, 78	D+
77, 76	D
73	D-
Below 70	F
I	Incomplete
P	Pass

Note*  Grading expectation are sometimes modified to match the student's ability level.
