Like I said, I live in Oslo, the beautiful capital of Norway. I live in the inner East city, in a part of town called Grünerløkka. Here you can find cafés, restaurants, galleries, shops and parks. I live right next to a small park called Birkelunden, where I share a flat with two friends. I did not grow up in Oslo, but in a neighbouring rural community called Nittedal. My parents still live there. This is not where my roots are, though. My mother, Elfi, is Austrian. She comes from a beautiful small town in western Austria, called Dornbirn. My father on the other hand, whose name is Torgeir, comes from a small place on the western coast of Norway called Geiranger - one of the most famous tourist sights in Norway. I also have one brother. His name is Steffen, and he lives in Bergen with his girlfriend Laila and their son Trym who is 5 years old. On 30 November 1999 Laila also gave birth to a little baby girl, her name is Embla. (Trym and Embla are both names from the Nordic mythology.) I am also aunt to a beautiful little girl named Jasmin (born 26 September 1999), daughter of my good friend Kathrine. At one time I lived in Bergen myself, I took a one year study at NHH called "German Business Language. This was in 1987/88. After that i moved to Oslo, where I studied Business Administration at Handelshøyskolen BI. However, my student days are over. Presently I work at the Oslo School of Architecture as a Senior Executive Officer in the Research Administration. I love to travel! I want to go EVERYWHERE! Finances unfortunately limit this somewhat, but in I have still managed to make short trips to India (twice), Nepal and Peru. In the summer of 1999 I went to Italy for two weeks (Terracina and beautiful Rome). Late September the same year I travelled for the first time to the Big Apple - New York City. In the summer of the year 2000 I went to China. Since then I have also been to Vietnam and Australia. Other than travelling
I have a passion for literature, movies and
art.
