WRIP CITY Toastmasters.
What is Toastmasters? |
Toastmasters is an international organization of local member-led clubs. In each club, members
practice speaking, listening, and leadership. We give and
receive positive feedback which helps us improve our communication
skills. Visitors are encouraged to attend club meetings to
see first-hand what it's all about. Visitors don't have to
speak if they don't want to! Click here to learn more about Toastmasters |
What are meetings like? |
Each meeting has these common elements:
|
When? | Meetings are held on Monday evenings from 6:45 until about 8:15 pm. |
Where? | We meet at DeVry University, 9755 SW Barnes Road, Portland, Oregon. This is at the north end of Hwy 217 at Hwy 26, just west of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. |
How do I get there? |
We're conveniently located near the intersection of US Hwy 26 and Oregon Hwy 217. Take the Barnes Road exit off of Hwy 26. At the traffic light you'll see Providence St. Vincent hospital toward the right. Sort of in the middle you'll see an office building that says 9555 at the top, and to the left of that you'll see a building with W&H Pacific and 9755 at the top. We meet in 9755, the westernmost office building. At the driveway to the west of 9755 is a traffic light and a wide brick sign that says Peterkort Centre. Park in the parking lot behind the building. Until the meeting begins a Toastmaster will be stationed at the glass doors to let you in. |
