Polygon Project
The Polygon Project is an experiment in non-verbal communication between children most of whom do not use English as their mother tongue. The children are drawing or photographing their interests and hobbies, their impressions of the other countries in the project and then some aspect of water as studied in their own class in their own country following the curriculum for their school.
Initially our grade I children sent pictures of Historical monuments in India to The North Shore Country Day School, Chicago .
(Rushing Water)
Then each school studied WATER in a manner which fits their own school curriculum and presents their study in drawings or photos - trying to show the viewer what they were learning and experiencing, what concerns them about water quality and what they might do to improve water in our world.

Weather Report
We have begun a friendship with a school in Winnetka ! Using email, we are trading weather information as well as facts about our classes.
In this project our Grade I students have been exchanging the Weather Report for the months of October-98, November-98, December-98, January-99, February-99. The children also discuss their Weather Preferences.
