SOME Christians will be protected, for there must
be a remnant that's "alive and remains" (1 Thes 4:15)
when the Lord comes. This remnant will be kept from any
harm in the tribulation (Ps 91) and will be hidden by the
Lord during the reign of the Antichrist:
Rev 12:6
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a
place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a
thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Rev 12:14
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle,
that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place,
where she is nourished for a time, and times,
and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
We should all flee into hiding places in the
mountains when we see the abomination of desolation,
for Jesus commands us to:
Matt 24:15-16
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation...
flee into the mountains...
But MANY of us will be discovered and imprisoned
and killed, and there's nothing to be
frightened about in that:
Rev 2:10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:
behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison,
that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation
ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give
thee a crown of life.
Rev 13:7
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints,
and to overcome them...
Rev 13:10
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity:
he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the
sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Rev 14:12-13
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write,
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from
henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest
from their labours; and their works do follow them.
And so we should not think at that time that we were
discovered because we are lacking in faith or that God is
displeased with us, for those believers who have suffered
the most throughout history are also registered in the
Hall of Faith:
Heb 11:35-39
Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that
they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had
trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover
of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were
sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword:
they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being
destitute, afflicted, tormented;(Of whom the world was
not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains,
and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having
obtained a good report through faith...
Any preaching which implies that if we have enough
faith nothing bad will happen to us in the tribulation is
setting up God's people for confusion and despair when
they find themselves among the many faithful Christians
that will suffer and die for our Lord at that time:
Rev 20:4
I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness
of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands...

Rev 3:10
I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,
which shall come upon all the world...
Rev 3:10 doesn't require miraculous protection
because we can be kept from the tribulation
through an early death:
Isa 57:1
The righteous PERISHETH... the righteous is
taken away from the evil to come.
2 Cor 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather
to be absent from the body, and to be present
with the Lord.
Phil 1:23
Having a desire to depart, and to be with
Christ; which is far better...
